Rufus Wells aka "Ruwells" has been a DJ for over 17 years. He started off making mixtapes and doing local parties in middle school and high school. While attending The University of Miami, he joined his college radio station WVUM 90.5 "The Voice", Southern Florida's largest collegiate station. During his 4 years stint at "The Voice" he joined management and became the Underwriting Director responsible for fundraising by selling air time and hosting bi-annual radio-thons.
While spending time in the studio, he began doing overnight slots to develop his production skills and on air personality. By his Junior year he hosted and produced his own specialty show "The Old School Hip Hop Shop" where he developed a loyal following. It featured music primarily from the "Golden Era" of hip hop. While living in Florida, he developed his mixing style and eventually played at all of the hottest clubs on South Beach. After moving back to Connecticut, he joined Top Floor Entertainment and is now on pace to do well over 200 engagements per year.
